Busy Week of Training and Preparing for Parade
U6/U8
Training for national school girls, born â07, â08, â09 & â10, continues every Saturday morning from 11am to 12 noon in the Leahyâs Field. All girls are welcome to come along and join in â we are giving a free 2 week trial to all new girls so they can see if they like the camogie before they register. These training sessions are based on fun, participation and team spirit. If you have any queries please contact Pat on 087-8188612.
U10
This team will commence training on Saturday the 7th March from 11am to 12 noon in Leahyâs Field with parents being notified by text. Girls eligible are born 2005 & 2006.
U12
The U12âs are scheduled to take part in the 1st blitz of the year at Erinâs Own pitch near Glanmire on Saturday the 14th March at 1pm. More information will follow in the next week by text to parents. Round 1 of the U12 camogie league will take place on the weekend of the 28th March away versus St Fanahanâs â more details to follow.
U14
The U14âs continue training with large numbers attending. Challenge matches are scheduled to start shortly with the league starting on the weekend of the 20th March at home versus Blackrock â more details to follow.
U18
The U18âs have commenced training for the 2015 season with the emphasis on building up fitness over the coming weeks.
The camogie club will be walking in this yearâs St Patrickâs Day parade in Fermoy â please organise to meet at Cavanaghâs garage at 10:30am as the parade starts at 11am. All parents will get further details over the coming week with all members and their parents/guardians being welcome.
We would ask any parents who are yet to register their girls for the 2015 camogie season to do so immediately. Please note that if your child has not being registered then they are not covered by insurance. Please contact our registrar Mary OâSullivan on 086-8306357 as a matter of urgency and courtesy.
The next monthly meeting for the Camogie club will take part on Tuesday the 10th March at 8:15pm in the Community Centre with all welcome to attend.
