Castlelyons Juvenile Notes 23.04.2018 2018-05-01 13:40:00

Club Lotto;

We are back with a lotto jackpot of € 7,800 and this week, the lotto will be held on Saturday morning in the GAA Bar/Tuc Shop at 10.45am, and all children that attend will be included in a draw for some great prizes. Tickets can be purchased on the morning and are €2 each.

The Castlelyons GAA club Fundraising Lotto draw is run on a weekly basis and plays a huge part in the Clubs Annual Fundraising efforts. All three clubs benefit hugely from the Lotto throughout the year. We encourage all our members and players to support the Club lotto as it is a vital source of income for the club.

Tickets can be purchased from Centra Post Office, Murphy’s Vehicle Repairs, Glanbia, Sharon’s Hair Design, The Abbey Tavern and local promoters. Alternatively you can play online – please see our club website for more details www.castlelyonsgaa.com.

P.I.H.C;

Our Hurlers head to Killeagh this Saturday night for their first championship outing of 2018. They take on Youghal in Killeagh at 7.45pm and we wish them the very best of luck. We encourage all our players and supporters to come along on the night to support our club.

Club Registrations;

The club held a very successful registration night at the end of January for the 2018 season. The Committee are hoping to have all registrations paid and updated by the end of this month. If you haven’t already done so, can you please fill out a registration form, available from all managers, and return it to your manager or Club Treasurer Ed Myers. This year’s registration fee is € 35 for one child, €25 for the second child and a maximum of € 70 per family.

Garda Vetting & Child Safe Guarding Course;

Legislation and GAA Rules, require that any person working in a “Relevant Role” or “a Role of Responsibility” with children must be Garda Vetted and have completed a Child Safe Guarding Course. Therefore, all managers, coaches and selectors, along with any parents willing to help out with teams during the coming year must fulfil these requirements.
