Successful Annual General Meeting

 Castlelyons Camogie Club recently held their AGM and a large crowd attended despite the inclement weather. It was great to see so many new faces especially parents of the younger age groups.

Grainne McCarthy played very well for Cork Under 14 last year Our outgoing chairperson, Mary McNulty, spoke about the year gone by and of all the highlights that the club went through, congratulating all those with representative honours for both the county and divisional teams. 

Mary wished the club the best of success for 2015 and wished the incoming officers the best of luck. Aisling Dinneen, our outgoing secretary, then spoke about the clubs achievements during 2014 and how she saw the club improving in 2015 - she said she was delighted with the big turnout and hoped it would continue.

The following Officers were elected: -  

  • Chairperson - Mary O'Sullivan
  • Vice-Chairperson - Michelle Griffin
  • Secretary - Margaret Doran
  • Treasurer - Kathleen Beausang
  • PRO - Pat O'Sullivan.

It was also agreed that all persons present at the AGM would be co-opted on to the committee for 2015. Best wishes to all the new officers for 2015.

Managers selected for 2015: -

  • U6/U8 - Pat O'Sullivan
  • U10 - Trevor Hickey
  • U12 - Willie Casey and assistants.
  • Managers for U14, U16, U18 & Juniors - agreed shortly.

Registration Night - 13th January 2015

For anyone who could not make it we would ask that all girls are registered as soon as possible so we can decide on teams for the year.  Contact PRO, Pat O'Sullivan on registration at 087-8188612. Camogie training for U6 & U8's (born 2007 and younger) will commence this Saturday, weather permitting, at 11am on the Astro Turf.

All primary school children born 2007 and younger are eligible to participate once they are registered - registration will also be taken on Saturday. If your child wishes to attend and you want to be put on the text list for training please contact Pa O Sullivan on 087-8188612. Training for all other age groups will be advised by text to parents.
