East Cork JBFC Football Championship

Castlelyons 3-12; Ballinacurra 1-13

Castlelyons played Ballinacurra in the second round of the East Cork J B Football Championship. In what was a free flowing game the lead changed hands on a few occasions with the overall fitness of the Castlelyons team helping to swing the match in our favour. We scored two goals in the last fifteen minutes.

Robbie Feeney in good form and banged in a goalOur goal scorers on the night were Anthony Spillane, Robbie Feeney and Colm Spillane.  We now advance to the semi final which will be played in the next few weeks which could be Youghal or Carrignavar and, of course, Bride Rovers are going very well in this competition so we could have a few cracking games yet.  We must also keep focused on the Munster championship hosted this year by the Knockaderry club in Limerick as we await our first round draw in a few weeks.  So lads good to be involved keep up the training and you will have an appetite for the turkey at Christmas.
