GAA Adult, Camogie & Juvenile Club Draw 2017

Castlelyons Adult, Camogie & Juvenile Clubs have come together and launched a major fund-raising drive for the next month. All clubs gathered at the official launch on Monday evening in the Club Bar. Our three wise men in the chairs Maurice Carroll, Denis Buckley and John Carroll spoke of the social values of the clubs to the local community and the increased numbers involved in all grades. A host of teams are still involved in the business end of competitions to date. The U21 hurlers after their East Cork win are now heading into the county section while our Minor A hurlers play the semi-final of the Rebel Óg League and the ladies are training for the County Junior Camogie semi-final plus of course many other teams involved at various levels. Also, the Juvenile Section is now catering for a record number of juveniles and are keeping up the traditional quality and skill level of Castlelyons players as Colm Spillane and Barry Murphy have represented Cork at the highest level in senior and minor hurling in Croke Park this year. However, it costs a bit to run these clubs and the fundraising committee who are energetic and motoring well have €3,000 in prizes with tickets priced at €10 each. Your support is appreciated, please.
